It took me a long time to find a gym that I actually love going to. Body Positive Fitness is an amazing space that encourages you to love moving your body, for the sake of loving to move your body. There is no guilt or negativity that are often found in other gyms. It is so different than any place I’ve tried before. Jenna is changing the way we think about fitness and I am so grateful for the space she had created ! Check it out.

I am a 57 year young women with invisible chronic illnesses and Jenna has created an environment for everyone. I look forward to going to in person classes and absolutely love the inclusivity and community she has created. I feel safe ,seen and heard while working out too!! Thank you ? ?

I've only attended to BoPo Yoga in the West end. It's life-changing. The instructor is phenomenal at introducing poses in accessible ways. She integrates elements of mindfulness that really build a mind-body-world connection that is intimate and powerful. As a fat woman, it feels great to practice yoga with other fat folx. Highly recommended!

Jenna is amazing! I have never been so comfortable in a fitness space. She really creates an environment where you can ask for modifications and push yourself safely, while feeling supported. As a fat person, I have never felt judged or as if there are limited expectations placed on me. I love Body Positive Fitness!!

I have never enjoyed exercise, but after deciding I needed to get stronger, and on the referral of a friend, decided to try Jenna's personal training out. I warned Jenna when I started that I would never like it although I would do my part and show up, and she laughed and replied with a "we'll see". Eight training sessions later I not only look forward to my workouts with Jenna (whaaat? me???) but I even signed up for her class which i also have discovered I really enjoy-- its exactly the right kind of challenge! Jenna has an amazing, no-pressure approach that is non-judgmental, supportive and yet still manages to push you more than you expect. She also has a great sense of humour and taste in workout music which doesn't hurt either ;) Watching myself improve has been incredibly satisfying and I am so grateful that I found her! And yes, I am stronger. Not deadlift-strong YET but I have no doubt that she will help me get there eventually! I could not more highly recommend her training or classes!

"If I had ten thumbs, they'd all be up!" Jenna has an amazing approach to training and fitness. I've never in my life enjoyed an exercise class....but I seriously look forward to the BOPO Move class every week! My daughter and I attend together and we both love it. Oh, it's hard. But it is such a great atmosphere that I somehow feel happy while simultaneously exceeding my fitness expectations every single time. We see Jenna for personal training, too, and it is nothing short of a miracle that I actually look forward to the gym with her guidance, encouragement, and plain old good company. I'm getting stronger and stronger and I love it. Big hugs to Jenna and all the others in the classes for making us feel so welcome! TEN THUMBS UP :)

Update to the review below: Nearly a year after the review below, I am still raving about Jenna and her classes. She is dedicated to promoting body positivity authentically, and ensuring that all her clients move safely. She is slowly expanding her team but doing so in a way that prioritizes the safety of her clients and genuine body positivity. Jenna has helped me cultivate a healthy relationship with exercise that has made me stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. Attending Jenna’s classes over a year ago was the single most transformative decision I have made and I can’t wait for more this year. I have actually forgotten that the fitness industry continues to be a largely toxic environment for many people who may be intimidated, shamed and downright bullied for their bodies. I have been able to forget because Jenna creates such a welcoming and safe space. To say it is a space of positive energy is an understatement. There just aren’t enough words to encapsulate everything Jenna has done for me. Original Review: Jenna has fostered a positive, vibrant energy in her workout classes that is infectious (in the best way). If you’ve had negative experiences in the gym before, give Jenna’s classes a try. She is also the modification queen, and always demonstrates several options so you can find the adaptation that works best for you. Jenna prioritizes your safety and wellbeing throughout the workout, from start to finish. At the same time, Jenna encourages you to build your skill set, strength, comfort and confidence level. Jenna’s classes are truly about “coming as you are” and she treats all her clients with the utmost compassion. Jenna has truly helped shift my perspective on exercise, and she will do the same for yours.
