Went to Reitmans for the first time ever after seeing an influencer post about them. Gotta say the Aurora location left much to be desired. Pros: love the size range, most pants come in petite as well as regular. Good sale (40% off regular items, plus a well stocked sale section). Cons: holy lack of customer service! I was in the store for exactly 35 mins and tried on about two dozen items. I was not greeted. The only time I was “helped” was when an employee offered to take some of my chosen items to a fitting room for me. But then I never saw another employee again. I had to let myself into my dressing room. I left the dressing room needing another size- no employee to be found so I wandered the floor myself. Finally found someone and asked them for a pair of pants in another size; she just wandered around (with me awkwardly trailing behind her in the ill-fitting pants) until she finally asked another employee where they were. Two more times I left the change room needing a different size / fit and had to help myself, wandering around the store unaided trying to remember where I’d gotten the items from. Never was there anyone checking in on me in the fitting rooms. I’m not usually one to need a lot of help shopping. I worked in retail all my life so I usually know what I’m doing. However having never shopped in Reitmans before (I thought it was a grandma store but they did actually have cute and trendy stuff!) and I was looking for specific items I’d seen from the influencer, so I did need help. Or at least someone in fits to run sizes. I ended up buying 4 items, spending about $130. I would have bought several more things however due to the absolute lack of customer service I figured I could get similar stuff elsewhere. I honestly considered leaving with buying nothing, but figured they’d ask about my experience at the cash so I could leave some feedback that way. But nope. Lady at the cash barely made eye contact. Just stayed “looks like you made out good” while she totalled up my purchase. So like a boomer I’m here on Google posting about my experience. If I ever return to a Reitmans store it certainly won’t be at this location.
I went to return online purchases that were made during the closer due to COVID-19. The lady at the cash was very friendly and extremely helpful. Great customer service! ??
Horrible service. I was here for 20 minutes. No one said hello. No one helped me find sizes. I helped myself to a fitting room. No one came to check. I found a blazer a dress and a top. Total around 120.00. I left it there. No one even looked up when I left. I am sitting in the parking lot writing this. I finally get to shop in small size stores and i get 100% no service. Not even worth a hello. The one lady looked like the manager walked by me 3 times before her break and the other girl sat at the cash desk. So frustrating. I have been in sales for YEARS and I always at least manage a hello.
Love the fact that you have larger sizes right there on the shelf with smaller sizes. Prices are great and there is much to choose from. Finally... it's a Canadian company! Support our own!
I was shopping for my wife birthday,and i don`t know much about women clothing, I went to Reitmans on Aurora Location, and surprisingly i met this nice sales lady that helped me on my purchase ,which later made my wife so happy by getting these gift.
