I’ve been a regular at Sweet Dutchess for over a year, and Rob has truly created something special, from the warm welcome to the beautiful aesthetic of the market. I tried the kitchen for the first time and it absolutely delivered. Skylar was an excellent server and on top of everything. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something fresh, inviting, and far from ordinary.
Recently reached out to Rob to arrange catering for a milestone birthday dinner for my spouse. She's a Dutch national who has lived in Newmarket for over 30 years. Rob was very friendly, helpful and easy to deal with in terms of providing guidance and suggestions. He built a custom menu for us, a mix of traditional Dutch appetizers and Indonesian entrees. Rob included all of the sauces and condiments that make a "rijsttafel' meal special. The meal was prepared and organized for pick-up, along with very clear and useful serving instructions. It was the perfect solution that fit into our celebration. I would very strongly recommend Sweet Dutchess as a catering provider.
What a great gem, went for brunch (advise you make a reservation) the food was so tasty and not massive portions so you didn’t feel stuffed but very satisfied. Good diverse selection and you should check out the store after, so many treats!
Went in for a coffee and nice fresh pastery. After walking in a circle Trying to find the entrance i found day old pasteries. Ie a few old cookies and some crosants. Not the offering you would expect from a bakery. Everything looks hagard . Straight small coffee cost me 400. No price list I dont pay 400 for coffee. Stay away A rip off .
If you haven’t been to this place what are you waiting for?! The food, people and atmosphere are all on point and will not disappoint. Great fusion of Dutch and Italian so go hungry. They also have a wicked collection of faves from both cultures in their shop at the entrance. There isn’t a ton of space, though, so if you’re more than 4 people, call and make a reservation.
I have nothing bad to say about this place! We were there right when they opened on a Saturday so it wasn’t busy. They food was amazing, quality was great and everything was fresh. Service was very welcoming and quick. I will definitely be back and be recommending this wonderful spot!
Didn't have much time to spend here. Our little guy was already tired and we were pushing it. We only really got to have a latte and tea but I am reviewing based on the exceptional customer service. They were friendly and accommodated us to take us in when we didn't have a reservation. Plus the host flagged us down when we walked by looking for an entry way with our stroller. Which was nice to see. We'll be sure to plan our next visit better with our little guy. Great customer service!
