Went there seeking help with my broken exhaust. Guy didn’t really give a crap about my situation. Gave me only the option to buy a whole new piece to do exactly what could of been done with the existing one then told me to go find someone else because he wasn’t up for the job. Great help
TLDR; no problems or headaches. Great place. Brought my Infiniti in for brakes, power steering, an oil change and hood latch repair. John was very easy going, very clear about what he could do and he also specified his available timeline for this work. After he completed most of the work, I got a call where he let me know that, although he could do the brake work easily, it wasn’t necessary as they were still in decent condition. It’s been a couple of weeks since the car work has been completed and I’m having no problems whatsoever. The reliability, honesty and to-the-point environment at R&S is why I’m going to come here again for future work.
Having read the reviews I decided to see if John could investigate the new noise my car was making. I am a super nervous older woman and was anticipating making a longer than usual trip later this week. He said to come in in the next hour and he would take a look. He took it for a drive and the noise was not there. Back at the shop he checked the oil and put more air in the tires. He told me that my nine year old car should be good for another 200,000 km and to relax. NO CHARGE. Super nice man who will be getting my future business and recommendations. Thank you John.
i went to this mechanic as my car kept dying and i read his really convincing webpage about being a family man. i went to him he started by saying that i would have to put alot of money into my car to get it to where it needs to be . he said that my timing belt doesnt look like it was ever replaced and the car is 16 yrs old and that if i dont fix it it could kill my engine. he priced me out at $3000 and that he would not be able to guarantee that, this may be the root of the issue. obviously i dont have that kind of money laying around so i took my car and left it in my driveway for about a week till i found someone who came to my house and see one of the little rubber hoses had a split in it. it cut off the tip put it back and shocker almost 4 months later no issues since. also i just found my folder with all the invoices that was given to me by the past owner and the timing belt was changed a year ago!!!..... i am convinced that john is a FRAUD i would never recommend anyone to go to him for work. i feel sorry for anyone that has used him as he is more than likely taking them for a ride. not to mention he was extremely rude
I got my car safety done with John. He was great. If you are looking for a large "chain", maybe this isn't the place for you. John runs a small shop, seemingly all on his own. And he only has 2 hands, so don't expect a secretary and multiple mechanics available 24x7. :) But he knows a lot, is easy to deal with and at fair prices and done right. I plan to become a regular.
