The prices for everything are just outrageous. The things on sale are the regular price of any other store. Over counter meds are more expensive than the ones delivered by Amazon to the door.... The only useful thing about the store is the pharmacy who are professional and kind and definitely understaffed and underpaid.
I had an encounter with the store manager, Jessica, who was extremely rude and full of attitude when I approached her about a problem with a cashier. Instead of offering me resolution, she insisted nothing could be done, blamed me for the cashiers mistake and started calling me names. She even mocked me in front of my kids. Jessica is not fit to be the manager and should be removed from this role, as she lacks empathy and respect for customers. You will lose business and customers with having someone like this in a customer facing role. I will not be returning to this location and will be sure to tell everyone I know about this disrespectful encounter.
This used to be my favourite Shoppers but ever since they got that new owner –Robert, it has become awful. I believe he was hired at the beginning of this year and you can really see the decline in quality of this store. The rest of the staff are nice, but they need to replace him.
Emergency contraceptives cost a fortune here! Online the price said it was 20 bucks, when I went to go get it, they made me pay $43 dollars. My card kept declining and I had around $42 in cash. The woman working there was trying to cancel my purchase and not give me the medication at all until a kind lady behind me offered 1 dollar. Like u guys think I can afford a kid when I can’t even pay 43 dollars for birth control Funny.
I would have given them a zero if I could. I went in to return something and the old Persian lady was so rude and giving me attitude from the start. Asking why did I buy the product if I was gonna return it. Like it’s none of her business why I bought it and why I’m returning it. She puts on her glasses and she is like when did you even buy it and goes on to make weird facial reactions. To make the situation worse I had the wrong receipt with me and the rude lady goes on to ask if that’s even my product. As if she didn’t see me walk in with it. Then I ask her to use my pc card do pull up the receipt, she goes on to say she can’t do that because I didn’t buy it from their store (I know they can do that because someone has done that before at a different location) and I could also see on the pc app there is no way she can’t do it on her side. Needless to say, I’m glad I don’t live in the area because I would never go to shoppers again just because of her.
Friendly and helpful store staff. Friendly pharmacy except for one lady. She needs some happiness in her life. She is brash and uninterested in helping.
If I could give 1/2 a star review, I would. The Staff here are rude. The new Manager at this location took the time to follow up with me on my negative experience which I appreciated however, He didn't go above and beyond to try and turn around my experience. It's just too bad that he wasn't able to really hear my point of view as a customer as my experience was not okay. Furthermore, I have since gone back to this location several times and while there has been some improvements. I'd say where Robert really is falling short on is the ability to assess talent and give feedback to his staff specifically his Beauty Advisors.. There are some people who just don't have what it takes to be in customer service and he needs to cut some of his Beauty Advisors loose.
